Eddie Galang, a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of technical leadership, development, integration, and governance to Fortune 500 companies, is Chief Information Security Officer of the Port of Long Beach, California, named to the position by the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners. Prior to this role, he held similar positions overseeing enterprise cyber information security practices at loanDepot, Fremont Investment & Loan, H&R Block Bank/Option One Mortgage and has worked for organizations such as PwC, PacifiCare Health Systems, and the County of Los Angeles. He is a retired combat veteran from the United States Army. As the Chief Information Security Officer, Mr. Galang oversees the Port of Long Beach Cyber Security program to protect the Port’s technical network from cyber risks. Mr. Galang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from the University of the Americas. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and participates in local, national and international information security groups to evangelize his craft through outreach.
